Noise

Postby domcastro » Sat Jan 08, 2011 12:42 am

Hi
In the description it mentions "significant noise". Can I assume this is natural noise and not noise that has been added to the data? Also, on the same lines, can I assume that class labels haven't been altered and they are natural?

thanks

Hello,

Yes, class labels come directly from experiment and have not been altered. A significant level of noise is natural and quite typical to biological data. That's the world we have to live in...

With best regards,
Robert

Thanks. Just checking. Are the labels of the preliminary dataset released today?
