Task 1 - edge locations in the network

Postby STANDARD » Mon Jul 05, 2010 1:34 pm

Hello, I got a question for Task 1 (traffic). Can you let us know where the edges are in the network? Say, are (and how) the edges connected spatially? Or you don't suppose us to need to know such information. Please advise. Thank you.

Hi Paweł,

Many thanks for this info which is very helpful.

Can I further clarify with you regarding the identification of the links? Am I right to assume that the first street "Most Poniatowskiego" corresponds to the first two columns in the dataset; the second street "Grojecka" corresponds to the 3rd and 4th columns in the dataset; and so on ...?

It will also be very helpful if you could kindly use two different colours (say Red and Green) on the map to distinguish the two directions on each link. Consequently, you are then able to tell us the 'Red' direction corresponds to Columns 1,3,5,7 ... ; and GREEN direction for columns 2,4,6,8 ...

Please advise.

Hello

Could you post a clarification since Towarowa and Prosta in the last post are not paired as consecutive columns for their respective directions as indicated in the task page. Thanks.

Hi,

Yes, there is a mismatch. Opposite directions of a road segment occur in consecutive pairs except the case of streets Prosta and Towarowa.
